BTS Jin, who is serving in the military, sent a surprise video to fans that make everyone cry
Jin (full name Kim Seok Jin), a member of BTS, sent a heartfelt video message to fans during his enlistment.
On January 9th, a video title “Message from Jin: Jan 2023” was published on BTS’s official YouTube channel “BANGTAN TV”. The video shows Jin, who is currently serving in the military, before his enlistment.
In the released video, Jin said, “Hello everyone, this is Jin of BTS. I won’t be a civilian anymore by the time this is out, but I’m here in front of the camera because I wanted to leave you something, even if it’s just leaving a message.”
He also added, “Currently I’m shooting for ‘Running Man’, and whenever I’m available, I wish to leave these videos and records once every few months to share with you as much as possible.”
Finally, Jin said, “I may not be by your side at this very moment, but I’ll go looking for you soon. So if you just wait a little bit, I will be back soon. That’s all for today. Next time, when I have the chance, I’ll be back with another video.”
The video is said to have been filmed in mid-October of 2022.
As the aforementioned video that showed Jin’s meticulousness in preparing a surprise gift for fans who will miss him after enlisting, fans were moved to tears watching it.

Jin, the first BTS member to enlist, enlisted in the 35th Infantry Brigade, 5th Division in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do on December 13th last year.
After enlisting in the army, images of Jin undergoing training became a hot topic when it was published online, on the official cafe of the boot camp.
After completing basic military training for about five weeks, Jin will be assigned to his unit and continue his military service.
BTS Jin’s expected discharge date is June 12th, 2024.
