KARA’s Kang Ji-young Shed Tears Out Of Anger When Witnessing Police Being Rude To Old Lady
KARA’s former member Kang Ji-young revealed a sad story she witnessed.
Kang Ji-young left a lengthy message on her personal social media account on April 23rd, saying, “I’m going to bring up a small, but not very small, slightly heavy story that happened in my daily life.”
She recalled having to stop by the police station regarding an issue with her driver’s license. “I suddenly saw an old lady who came to a counter next to me. It was so close to me that I naturally heard her and the person at the counter talking,” she said. “She came to renew her license. She was asked if she had a medical checkup and if her eyesight was over 0.8.”
“The lady said it was not over 0.8,” she recalled. “Then the police officer bluntly told her that she needed to get her glasses changed right away, or she couldn’t renew it today, and she was struggling when she heard it. What I was so upset about here was what if this lady next to me was my mother? My heart would collapse if I saw my mother in such a situation where the officer was so unfriendly as if she was annoyed, and my mother didn’t know what to do.”
Kang Ji-young said, “You may think it’s not a big deal. But these days, kiosks, numerous applications, etc. Even I don’t know how to use them. The officer just needed to explain it in a little bit more detail, and I cried when I saw the old lady being embarrassed. My hands are shaking all the way back home,” she said. “I post this with a heart of a daughter for her parents.”
