Female online community members think Yoona & Jun Ho’s dating rumor was spread to promote “King the Land”
Netizens on online communities for women discuss the reason behind the dating rumor of “King the Land” couple Yoona and Lee Jun Ho.
Im Yoon Ah (Yoona) and Lee Jun Ho, who appear in the ongoing drama “King the Land” as leads, recently became the main characters in dating rumors.
On July 3rd, a media outlet reported that Im Yoon Ah and Lee Jun Ho were in a romantic relationship.
Citing an entertainment industry official, the media said, “Lee Jun Ho and Im Yoon Ah developed into lovers before filming ‘King the Land’, and that was the reason they decided to star in this drama together”.
As soon as the rumor broke out, Im Yoon Ah and Lee Jun Ho’s agencies SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment quickly released positions. Both sides firmly refuted the rumor, saying “The two are close to each other, but they are not dating”. As such, the spread of dating rumors also ended.
However, some people raised the suspicion that the rumor was part of the drama promotion plan. They commented, “Dating rumors often appear amid drama broadcasts to promote it, right?”, “That’s how they promote a rom-com. There will always be dating rumors”, etc.

No one knows what the reason was but if the production team did aim at noise marketing, they have already succeeded.
