BLACKPINK’s Jisoo will finally release a solo debut album this year.
YG Entertainment said in an official press release on January 2, “Jisoo is currently speeding up the recording for her solo album. While she has been busy with the world tour since last year, she even finished taking jacket photos and has been working on music from time to time to keep her promise with fans. She will visit you soon with good news.”
Prior to Jisoo, BLACKPINK members Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa successfully made their solo debuts one after another. Global fans are expected to react even more enthusiastically to the solo debut of Jisoo, the last member of BLACKPINK to promote as a soloist.
BLACKPINK is going on the biggest world tour of a K-pop girl group. Starting with the Seoul concert in October of last year, the group held concerts in various cities in North America and kicked off a European tour.
In 2023, they are set to head to Asia and Oceania to interact with more global fans.
