Actress Uee is making a comeback to the small screen with KBS’s new weekend drama.
According to Star News on March 10, Uee has been cast as the lead actress in KBS 2TV’s upcoming weekend drama “Hyosim’s Individual Life” (literal title), which is scheduled to air in the second half of this year. The exact filming schedule is currently being decided.
“Hyosim’s Individual Life” is a heartwarming story of Hyosim, who struggles to break away from her difficult family and find her own way in life. The drama will follow “The Real Thing” as the next KBS weekend drama.
In this drama, Uee will take on the role of Lee Hyoshim, a hardworking laborer who works tirelessly for her family from dawn till dusk. She tries to find her own independence and happiness away from her dysfunctional family.
Uee returns to KBS weekend drama after four years since the end of “My Only One” in 2019. She led the successful drama alongside Choi Soo Jong, which achieved a record-breaking viewership rating of 49.4% (102nd episode on March 10, 2019). As she makes her long-awaited return to KBS drama, all eyes are on whether she can achieve another high viewership rating.
