Twice’s Love History on the Eve of Their 9th Anniversary
Twice members have caught up in dating rumors several times
Twice, beloved for numerous hit songs such as “Cheer Up,” “TT,” “Likey,” and “What is Love?,” is approaching their 9th debut anniversary in October, having garnered much love and popularity worldwide. Among these, there is keen interest in the consecutive dating rumors surrounding the members.
On the 5th, Twice’s Chaeyoung and singer Zion.T confirmed their relationship. On this day, JYP Entertainment, Chaeyoung’s agency, stated, “The two are meeting with favorable feelings.”
Previously, domestic media outlet ‘SWAY’ reported that Chaeyoung and Zion.T have been dating for about 6 months. According to the report, they met through an acquaintance and their relationship developed into a romantic one.
This is Chaeyoung’s first public relationship. She was previously embroiled in dating rumors with tattoo artist Chimhwasa in 2020 but neither confirmed nor denied it. Similar ring shapes and eyewitness accounts at large supermarkets fueled the dating rumors. At the time, JYP stated, “We will not provide any official statement regarding the artists’ private lives.”
Prior to Chaeyoung, group leader Jihyo also had recent dating rumors. On the 25th of last month, ‘SWAY’ reported Jihyo’s relationship with former skeleton national team athlete and broadcaster Yoon Sung Bin. Adding that they’ve been dating for a year, citing their common interest in sports. However, JYP explained, “It’s difficult to confirm due to its private issue.”
Before Yoon Sung Bin, Jihyo admitted to dating solo singer Kang Daniel, formerly of Wanna One, in 2019. However, due to their busy schedules, they broke up in 2020 after 1 year and 3 months, eliciting sympathy from many.
Another member of the group, Momo, admitted to dating Super Junior member Kim Heechul in 2020. Despite publicly dating, they ended their relationship after 1 year and 6 months and returned to being seniors and juniors in the entertainment industry.
Yet another member, Mina, was embroiled in dating rumors with Got7 member BamBam in 2017. When a photo surfaced online of the two lying side by side affectionately, rumors emerged. However, the rumors turned out to be not true. At the time, JYP officially stated regarding the photo, “It’s just a casually taken photo,” and “The two are simple company colleagues.”
Meanwhile, Twice released their mini-album “With YOU-th” in February. Despite their long career, they are still actively promoting, even topping the U.S. Billboard Main Album Chart, demonstrating their enduring prowess. The future activities of Twice will be closely watched.
