This actor surpasses Han Ji Min & Kim So Hyun to win No.1 on Most Buzzworthy Drama Actors ranking in 2nd week of August
The buzzworthy rankings for all TV-OTT dramas in the second week of August have been released.
According to Good Data Corporation on August 14th, actor Nam Goong Min (MBC’s “My Dearest”) ranked 1st place in “Top 10 Most Buzzworthy Drama Actors”. He was followed by No.2 Kim So Hyun (tvN’s “My Lovely Liar”), No.3 Hwang Min Hyun (tvN’s “My Lovely Liar”), No.4 Ahn Eun Jin (MBC’s “My Dearest” and No.5 Han Ji Min (JTBC’s “Beyond Your Touch”).
Good Data CEO Won Soon Woo said, “The gap in the buzzworthy score between No.2 ‘The Uncanny Counter 2’ and No.7 ‘Beyond Your Touch’ is 2%”, adding “Analyzing reactions from viewers in online communities, ‘My Dearest’ and ‘Beyond Your Touch’, which is witnessing significant increases in popularity during the second week of broadcasting, will comete with each other for the No.1 and No.2 spots”.
Episode 4 of MBC’s “My Dearest”, which was broadcast on August 12th, depicted the pain of the people who had to endure the horrors of war when Joseon collapsed due to the Qing invasion.
The young nobles of Neunggunri Village formed an army and headed towards Namhansanseong where King Injo (Kim Jong Tae) was imprisoned. However, they were helplessly defeated by Qing Dynasty elite soldiers without having experienced real combat. Some of the volunteers expressed their desire to return to Neunggunri Village. Yet, Nam Yeon Joon (Lee Hak Joo) kept his determination.
Yoo Gil Chae (Ahn Eun Jin) persuaded the village elders to leave the village immediately. She sent her father and children away first, and then stayed on the other side of the river together with Kyung Eun Ae (Lee Da In), and their confidants Jong Jong Yi (Park Jung Yeon), Bang Du Ne (Kwon So Hyun).
The harsh journey of evacuation continued for several days. Yoo Gil Chae dreamed of her hugging Lee Jang Hyun (Nam Goong Min) from behind. As soon as she opened her eyes, Yoo Gil Chae faced a group of bandits. However, Lee Jang Hyun appeared at a critical moment to rescue Yoo Gil Chae and her friends. Surprised by Lee Jang Hyun’s appearance, Yoo Gil Chae shouted, “Don’t come here, hubby”. After rescuing Yoo Gil hae, Lee Jang Hyun smiled happily and asked, “Did you just call me ‘hubby’?”.
According to Nielsen Korea, episode 4 of MBC’s “My Dearest”, which aired on August 12th, recorded a rating of 5.2%. The drama showed a stable increase compared to the rating of episode 2 released on Saturday last week. Its real-time peak soared to 7.3%.
The ranking of “Top 10 Most Buzzworthy TV-OTT Dramas” released on the same day showed Disney+’s “Moving” at first place. It was followed by No.2 tvN’s “The Uncanny Counter 2”, No.3 MBC’s “My Dearest”, No.4 TV Chosun’s “Durian’s Affair”, and No.5 tvN’s “My Lovely Liar”.
