A movie titled ‘To Jinri,’ containing the final moments and interview of the late Sulli (Choi Jinri), is being publicly screened for the first time at the 28th Busan International Film Festival. On September 5th, at the press conference for the 28th Busan International Film Festival, ‘To Jinri’ was included in the Wide Angle Documentary Showcase lineup.
The organizers mentioned this work as a “captivating subject” and explained that it includes the last interview of the late Sulli. According to the description, ‘To Jinri’ includes an in-depth interview that Sulli had in 2019, which is said to be her last interview before her passing.
Originally, this work was known as ‘Persona: Sulli.’ It was the second season of ‘Persona,’ starring IU, which was released in 2019. It consisted of five short films by five directors, all centered around one actress.
In 2019, while the late Sulli was in the midst of shooting the second short film, she passed away, and production was halted, leaving it unreleased. There were previous reports of it being released on platforms like Netflix, but it is now meeting the audience through the Busan International Film Festival under the title ‘To Jinri.’
Sulli, who debuted as a child actor in 2005, debuted as a member of f(x) in 2009 and received much love as a singer and actress. In 2015, she left the group and continued her career as a soloist, actress, and entertainer. She passed away in October 2019.
