“The Glory” landed in the Top 10 of 62 countries, Song Hye-kyo and the cast received praise for their stimulating performances  

Netflix’s “The Glory” took the world by storm with a enticing revenge journey with multiple twists and turns. 

On January 11th (KST), “The Glory” topped the Netflix’s global top 10 of non-English TV series and landed in the top 10 of 62 countries. In North and South America as well as Europe, the series was in the top 10 of Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Mexico, and Brazil, along with 08 Asian countries, namely Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The cumulative viewing time also exceeded 100 million hours. Previously recording 25.41 million viewing hours within three days of its release, “The Glory” attained 82.48 million viewing hours from the 2nd to the 8th. The cumulative viewing time is expected to increase in the future. 

“The Glory” is a story about Moon Dong-eun’s revenge on the highschool bullies who tortured her mentally and physically during her highschool years. Writer Kim Eun-sook and director Ahn Gil-ho have worked together to create a fantastic synergy.

Song Hye-kyo‘s acting transformation goes beyond success and is receiving countless praise. The actress has broken her own rom-com and melodramatic stereotype and is showing a different aspect of her professional self. Moreover, actors such as Lim Ji-yeon, Park Sung-hoon, Cha Joo-young, and Shin Ye-eun are being rediscovered and gaining attention for their remarkable performances. This ensemble cast put on such a coherent performance that kept viewers glued to the screen. 

“The Glory” has had a successful run with the first part of the series. Fans are eager to see how the story will develop in the second part set to released in March.
