A video summarizing the worldview of Netflix’s series “Black Knight” is drawing attention.
Netflix Korea recently released a video of actors summarizing “Black Knight” within 15 seconds through their official SNS accounts.
In the video, actors Kim Woo Bin, Kang Yoo Seok, Song Seung Heon and Esom introduced the work through keywords.
Here, Kim Woo Bin selected comet collision, future, air pollution, desertification, murder case, Cheonmyeong Group, while Kang Yoo Seok cited lack of oxygen, class society, QR code, and military officer Seol Ah. In addition, Song Seung Heon mentioned refugee boy Sa Wol, We are family, 5-8, “It’s a delivery”, and Esom chose Ryu Seok conspiracy, delivery driver selection contest, and Sa Wol challenge.
It is a short introduction, but just a few words perfectly explain the worldview of “Black Knight”, make the whole series come to light.
“Black Knight”, which was released on Netflix at 4 PM (KST) on May 12th, depicts a dystopian future where extensive air pollution has destroyed most of the world and forced the people who are still alive to depend on elite delivery drivers for survival.
Ahead of the release of the work, the actors also picked out the points viewers should focus on in “Black Knight”.
Kim Woo Bin, who plays delivery driver “5-8”, mentioned “the driving force that makes the characters move” and explained, “The reason why the characters move is clear. If you think about why they move like this, you’ll be more immersed.“
Song Seung Heon transforms into Ryu Seok, the wealthy heir to the Cheonmyeong Group. He said, “It’ll be tense and fun if you focus on the confrontation and conflict between characters.”
Kang Yoo Seok plays the role of refugee boy Sa Wol, who envies “5-8” and dreams of following in his footsteps as one of the Knights. He shared, “I think it’ll be fun to see the devastated Seoul with the thought ‘This place became like this’.“
Based on the webtoon “Apocalypse”, “Black Knight” is written and directed by director Cho Ui Seok of “Master” and “Cold Eyes”. It consists of a total of 6 episodes, and actors such as Kim Woo Bin, Song Seung Heon, Kang Yoo Seok, Esom, Kim Eui Sung, Lee Joo Seung, Yoo In Hyeok, Zo Zee An, Lee E Dam and Jin Kyung will appear.
It is not yet known whether season 2 will be produced.
