“Heart Signal season 3” Seo Min-jae (After renaming: Seo Eun-woo), who faces allegations of drug use, explained the reason for changing her name
On Nov 7th, Seo Min-jae posted a comment on her Instagram post, saying, “It was reported during the last trial that I changed my name, but it’s irrelevant to the essence of the case, so I’ll provide a brief response. I’m aware that changing my name doesn’t erase my criminal record or my past. I have no impure intentions.”
She explained, “Regarding the reason for changing my name, there are two main reasons: a commitment to ‘live anew as a decent person’ and the desire ‘not to recall the pain caused by me every time my loved ones call my name’.”
She emphasized, “I’ll humbly accept criticism. I’ll live righteously. Since I caused harm to an indeterminate number of people and society, I must have a greater sense of responsibility and sincerely fulfill my role as a member of society and pay off my debt to society.”
Seo Min-jae expressed her regret, “I’m very resentful of myself for making wrong choices. I feel a great sense of apology and guilt to all those who were harmed directly or indirectly by me. I apologize once again.“
Seo Min-jae, who graduated from Inha University’s College of Engineering, became known after appearing on Channel A’s “Heart Signal season 3” in 2020. She received a lot of love for her kind personality and exceptional looks.
However, controversy arose when it was revealed in August last year that she and singer Nam Tae-hyun used Philopon. Seo Min-jae admitted to the allegations at her first trial held last month. It was also reported that she changed her name to Seo Eun-woo, which garnered attention.
Seo Min-jae’s next trial is scheduled for Dec 7th.
