Squid Game’s Jung Ho-yeon signs with CAA, lives under the same roof with Brad Pitt and Beyonce

Jung Ho-yeon, who quickly became a global star thanks to “Squid Game”, signed with a major US agency and will kick off her Hollywood activities in earnest.

Deadline, a leading American entertainment media outlet, reported on Nov 16th (local time) that Jung Ho-yeon signed an exclusive contract with CAA (Creative Artists Agency) – the largest agency in the United States.

According to Deadline’s explanation, every agency in town has been trying to land Jung Ho-yeon and her co-stars as well as the Netflix series’ writer-director Hwang Dong-hyuk. Jung Ho-yeon marks the first of that group to land at an American agency.

Squid Game” has swept the world and gained syndrome-class popularity since Sep 17th. According to Netflix, “Squid Game” recorded 1.65 billion hours streamed in the first four weeks since its release. This is equivalent to 182,000 years. “Bridgerton” season 1, which ranked first before “Squid Game“, had a total of 625 million hours over its first 28 days of release. As such, the viewing record of “Squid Game” is 2.6 times that of “Bridgerton”.
