Agency Fantagio announced the sad news, stating, “Moonbin suddenly left us and became a star in the sky”, adding “It is so heartbreaking that we have to deliver this sudden news to the fans who have supported and shown endless love for Moonbin. We feel even more painful knowing that the late artist loved and cared for his fans more than anyone else.”

As the entire entertainment industry was shocked by the heartbreaking news of Moonbin’s passing, music shows also spent a week expressing condolences to the deceased. MCs of various music programs, such as “M Countdown”, “Music Bank”, “Music Core”, “Inkigayo”, and “The Show”, all wore black costumes and paid tribute to the late Moonbin through memorial messages and videos.

“Show Champion” has a more special relationship with Moonbin. Moonbin worked as an MC for this music show from March 4th, 2020 to October 26th, 2022 together with ASTRO Sanha and Verivery Kang Min. Therefore, “Show Champion” will release a memorial video that includes footage of Moonbin when he was active as an MC and his performances.

Following Moonbin, his younger sister Billlie Moon Sua is also hosting this music show. However, she will be absent from today’s broadcast. Earlier, Billlie’s agency announced that the girl group will temporarily carry out activities with six members, except Moon Sua, for the time being.

Meanwhile, the late Moonbin debuted as a member of ASTRO in 2016. Apart from the group promotions, he also gained huge love from various activities, including ASTRO’s subunit ‘Moonbin & Sanha’, entertainment shows, and acting.
