Park Bo-young To Co-Star With Choi Woo-sik in K-drama “Melo Movie”

Actress Park Bo-young has confirmed to be cast in the upcoming K-drama “Melo Movie” alongside Choi Woo-sik 

On November 17, it has been exclusively reported by Star News that actress Park Bo-young will star in the upcoming K-drama “Melo Movie”.

“Melo Movie” is a romantic comedy drama about youth who have walked through life with hardships and misfortunes, but are now earnestly looking for someone to lean on, creating a dark yet comical romance.

In the drama, Park Bo-young takes on the role of a supporting director named Kim Moo-bi. She starts as an assistant director and later becomes a film director. The character follows in the footsteps of her father, who worked as a film crew member, and steps into the film industry. She quietly hones her perfect skills without attracting much attention.

Meanwhile, Choi Woo-sik will play the male lead, Go-gyeom. Starting as a minor actor, Go-gyeom becomes a film critic and gets entangled with Kim Moo-bi on the film set, unfolding a fateful love story.

The screenplay for “Melo Movie” is written by Lee Na-eun, who previously worked on the SBS drama “Our Beloved Summer”.

On the other hand, Park Bo-young is currently starring in the Netflix series “Daily Dose of Sunshine”, which was released on November 3. The series portrays the diverse stories of a nurse named Da-eun who works in the psychiatric ward of a hospital. 

Shortly after its release, the series ranked 4th on the Netflix Global Top 10 TV (Non-English) category and entered the Top 10 in 28 countries, including South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Brazil, proving its global popularity.
