RIIZE’s Latest Comeback Raises Questions About Seunghan’s Future

RIIZE, the popular K-Pop group, made a striking return with their recent comeback, “Love 119,” released on January 5. The group is actively promoting the song on various music programs, but the absence of member Seunghan, who has been on an indefinite hiatus since late November 2023 due to controversies, has become a focal point of discussion among fans.

Despite SM Entertainment’s previous statement defending Seunghan and announcing legal action against the alleged defamer, RIIZE has been promoting as a six-member group rather than seven for “Love 119,” marking their first release without Seunghan.

Since Seunghan’s departure, there has been limited information about his future with RIIZE. Recently, fans have noticed a significant change in one of the group’s logo designs, sparking concern and speculation about Seunghan’s status within the group.

Previously, RIIZE’s merchandise, including griptoks and stickers, featured a cue ball-like design with the group’s name and the number 7, symbolizing their seven members. However, for their latest comeback, indications suggest that the design has been altered, removing the number from the cue ball and leaving only RIIZE’s name. Reportedly, any merchandise with the previous design has been removed from pop-up stores.

This alteration has generated confusion and disappointment among fans, leading to various speculations. Some interpret the change as a clear indication that Seunghan may no longer be a part of the group, while others see it as a positive sign that he could potentially return, given that the number was removed entirely rather than replaced with a six.

Beyond concerns about Seunghan’s status, some fans express dissatisfaction with the redesigned cue ball, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the situation. Fans are eagerly awaiting a definitive statement from SM Entertainment regarding Seunghan’s future plans, hoping for clarity amid the ongoing speculation.
