Laboum, indefinite suspension of team activities after 8 years… Leave the agency and start individual activities

Group Laboum (Soyeon, Jinyea, Haein, Solbin) will indefinitely suspend team activities and start individual activities after 8 years. In fact, the team is disbanded.

According to a music official on Sep 22nd, Laboum finally reached an agreement to focus on individual activities after a long discussion with the agency about their future activities.

It is known that this decision was made as Yanolja took over Interpark and changed the entertainment business direction.

Laboum members will conduct activities with other agencies separately from Interpark Music Plus according to their respective areas of activity. It is confirmed that Laboum members also have a strong will for individual activities.

The official said, “Currently, Laboum’s activities as a team have not been decided. It will be discussed after the reorganization of Interpark’s entertainment business. We support the members’ individual activities in the future.”

Earlier, Laboum discussed terminating their contract with Interpark Music Plus last month. Even if Laboum’s contract with Interpark Music Plus was terminated, the team could be maintained if all members moved to another company and carried out group activities, but they eventually agreed to do individual activities.

Meanwhile, Laboum debuted in 2014 and was loved by releasing “Journey to Atlantis”, “Hwi Hwi” and “Between Us”. After renewing the contract last year, they released their third mini-album “Blossom” in November.
