“All Of Us Are Dead” male lead involved in school bullying accusations, netizens mock, “He’s nothing like his character”

Playing a courageous character who protects his friends, but in real life, the male lead of “All Of Us Are Dead” was accused of school violence.

With the global popularity of Netflix’s All Of Us Are Dead, the young cast of the series have been enjoying overnight success as they became the most sought-after stars on social media lately. Among them, child actor Yoon Chan Young who plays one of the leading characters, has drawn much attention.  

However, Yoon Chan Young’s past controversy over school bullying also resurfaced following the heat of All Of Us Are Dead. Specifically, 6 years ago, a Twitter user claimed that Yoon Chan Young was part of a group of students who bullied and had misogynistic behaviors towards others.

The accuser specified that Yoon Chan Young and 3 other friends had a ranking list of female students and even teachers at their school, according to their own evaluation standards. These posts were published when Yoon Chan Young was in middle school and the alleged bullying happened in 2015. The accuser later also posted a photo saying that they had received an apology but did not disclose the person who apologized.

In All Of Us Are Dead, Yoon Chan Young plays high school student Cheong San, who is willing to sacrifice himself to protect his friends in the zombie apocalypse. Because he is fast, brave and loyal, Cheong San is one of the most loved characters in the series. However, after his bullying controversy resurfaced, netizens mock him by saying that Yoon Chan Young is not worthy of playing such a good character because he’s totally different in real life.

Currently, neither Yoon Chan Young nor his agency have addressed the allegations.
