Kim Woo Bin’s new K-drama, “Black Knight”, is set to premiere on May 12th

The Netflix series “Black Knight”, which features actors Kim Woo Bin, Esom, and Song Seung Heon, will be released on May 12th.

“Black Knight” is a Netflix series set in a future Korea, where it is impossible to live without an oxygen respirator due to severe air pollution. The drama depicts the story of the legendary deliveryman “5-8” and refugee “Sa Wol” as they stand up against the Cheonmyeong Group, which rules the new world.

In addition, “Black Knight” captures the story of delivery men (Knights) who risk their lives to deliver not only goods, but also survival means for everyone, in a society where the environment has been devastated by air pollution and class distinctions have become even more pronounced.

“Black Knight”, which is based on the Korean webtoon “Delivery Knight”, is directed by Cho Ui Seok, who worked on “Master”, “Cold Eyes”, and “The World of Silence”. Meanwhile, Kim Woo Bin will assume the role of legendary delivery man 5-8, and Song Seung Heon will star as Ryu Seok – the successor of the Cheonmyeong Group.

At the same time, Kang Yoo Seok will transform into Sa Wol – a refugee who admires 5-8, while Esom will become Major Seol Ah, a military intelligence officer.

On the other hand, the second teaser poster for “Black Knight”, which was released on March 29th, captures the moment of 5-8 delivering boxes from a delivery vehicle while racing through a dusty and sand-filled atmosphere. The numbers 05.12 written on the Cheonmyeong Group delivery box that he is carrying represent the premiere date of the work.

Expectations are high for the exciting stories that will unfold around 5-8, who delivers “survival” with oxygen, in a world where one cannot live without delivery men.

Regarding “Black Knight”, Kim Woo Bin expressed his excitement ahead of release and said, “I worked very happily. I hope our precious results will be well delivered to you, and I hope you can enjoy it joyfully.”
