Kim Seon Ho, who was accused of forcing his ex-girlfriend to abort, will finally return with stage play “Touching The Void”

“Touching The Void”, the comeback work of actor Kim Seon Ho following his false scandal, will be unveiled on July 8th.

On July 6th, prior to the opening of the stage play, the production company of “Touching The Void” posted a greeting video of Kim Seon Ho on their official Instagram account.

In the video, Kim Seon Ho said while smiling: “Joe, Sara, Simon, and Richard are waiting in the mountains. Everyone, remember to come and see us. Please look forward to the play and pay it a lot of attention!”

Kim Seon Ho, who has been absent from the public for a long time, showed his bright smile and calm yet attractive voice.

“Touching the Void” is a play based on the true story of British mountain climbers Joe Simpson and Simon Yates, who climbed the western ice wall of the Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes in 1985. Their experience and emotions while trapped in the huge snow mountain with snow storms was previously published as a memoir and documentary film of the same name. As for theater, it first premiered in the U.K in 2018.

In “Touching The Void”, Kim Seon Ho will assume the role of Joe, who is isolated in the snow mountain due to a distress accident. Actors Shin Sung Min and Lee Hwi Jong will also take turns playing this role.

The play, which contains messages for life when struggling against the harshness of nature, will be available at Art One Theater 2 in Daehak-ro from July 8th to September 18th.

Previously, Kim Seon Ho was embroiled in a controversy regarding his private life in October 2021. In particular, his ex-lover, A, claimed that the actor broke up with her after coercing her to get an abortion, despite promising to marry her.

The scandal spreaded so badly that Kim Seon Ho ended up halting all his activities, including dropping out of the KBS2 show “2 Days & 1 Night” season 4.

However, public opinion began to change in a favorable way for Kim Seon Ho, after Dispatch revealed the real messages between Kim Seon Ho and the ex-lover, proving that previous accusations were edited with malicious aims, and the ex never cared about her pregnancy in the first place.
