Recently, actress Park Eun Bin had an interview with a media outlet (kenh14.vn) and had interesting sharings about herself.

Park Eun Bin started acting at the age of 5 and has been in the entertainment industry for 25 years now. She is one of the child actors that still maintains her reputation into adulthood. Over the years, the actress has left a mark in the public’s hearts thanks to the female lead roles in many projects such as Do You Like Brahms? (2020) and The King’s Affection (2021).

In 2022, Park Eun Bin impressed the public when trying out the role of a female lawyer with autism who loves whales in the drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo“. Her portrayal of attorney Woo Young Woo was well received by Korean and international audiences. Park Eun Bin recently shared about her interesting role.

Woo Young Woo brings miracles to everyone

The drama about the attorney with autism Woo Young Woo is being widely received both inside and outside Korea. Viewers praise your acting skills as well as express their admiration for Young Woo. Before the drama came out, did you think the work would be so successful?

Right from the time the drama was still in production, the production crew as well as each of us actors were confident in the quality of the work as well as having the belief that it would touch the hearts of the audience. However, at that time, no one foresaw the future when this television work would cross the Korean border and be received by international friends. But it did.

What emotions did the unexpected success of Extraordinary Attorney Woo bring to you?

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the viewers of all genders and ages who watched and supported the drama about a female attorney with autism named Woo Young Woo both inside and outside of Korea. The drama is a success thanks to the work of a strong team, not just me. Personally, I think Woo Young Woo has brought miracles to everyone.

Young Woo interacts with those around her in a very unique way on screen. Her voice was higher pitched than usual and she spoke very quickly. Young Woo frequently exhibits peculiar hand or body movements. How did you act it out?

Young Woo is a very different character from most of the ones I’ve played in the past. I had to practice my walking, acting, and facial expressions in order to become her, in addition to learning the lines. In the beginning, I needed a lot of time to get used to it. Every time I learn a line, I have to match it with head and eye motions. This is not at all simple. It’s crucial to have the capacity to maintain focus for long periods of time.

Young Woo always avoids eye contact with people around her, does it cause you difficulties when interacting with other actors during the working process?

Because of the requirements of the role, I was unable to observe my co-star’s reaction during the dialogue. Communicating while actively avoiding interaction with a partner is diametrically opposed to how you and I talk or communicate with each other on a daily basis. This is another challenge when playing Young Woo.

I believe my co-stars find this way of communication strange and inconvenient while working. But over time, we also got used to it. Finally, I was able to fully immerse myself in the character, and I wanted to perfectly portray Woo Young Woo.

I want to use acting to help the audience heal their souls

Hanbada Law Firm is also well-loved by the general public. The audience was captivated by the unique cast of characters, who always sympathize with their colleagues and take ownership of their work. Can you tell us about your experiences filming with them?

Hanbada Team is made up of people with diverse personalities but they all have one thing in common: kindness. In real life, we each have the same behavior as on-screen. Because of our different personalities, we shared many interesting stories.

We cannot, of course, avoid difficult and challenging times when making films. But, thanks to our familiarity with each other, we were able to complete it with ease, no matter how difficult it was. Our closeness in real life has been reflected in the work, so drama fans have seen the characters’ closeness on-screen. Many thanks to everyone who has given love and compliments to Hanbada Team.

You have a burning passion for acting. What image do you want the audience to remember about actress Park Eun Bin?

As an actor, I think the audience has spent precious time in their lives watching a certain work in which I am present. How good it would be if that work also helped them relieve some burdens in life. I want my dramas or roles to help the audience heal their souls.

What motivates you to continue pursuing your acting career?

I also wish I would have a work of art of a lifetime. It’s like my manifesto for posterity. But above all, I always thank the audience for their support. I will continue to work on improving myself in the next projects.
