On December 31st, G-Dragon posted a photo of Vivienne Westwood on Instagram with a quote from Sid Vicious (Sex Pistols) to pay tribute to Vivienne Westwood, “Too fast to live, too young to die.” This phrase is also tattooed on his shoulder.
A few days ago, on December 29th, Vivienne Westwood was announced to have passed away at her Clapham home in South London, aged 81. She was a renowned fashion designer who played an important role in the birth of London’s punk culture in the 1970s. The designer left behind a brand named after her that is loved around the world.
G-Dragon drew attention in the past for appearing in a Vivienne Westwood suit in the “Crooked” MV, and wore many of her products in his airport appearances.
At the time of Vivienne Westwood’s death, her account posted photos with a caption that reads, “Vivienne continued to do the things she loved, up until the last moment, designing, working on her art, writing her book, and changing the world for the better. She led an amazing life. Her innovation and impact over the last 60 years has been immense and will continue into the future. The world needs people like Vivienne to make a change for the better.”
