“LGBT Rainbow” Removed From SEVENTEEN’s “God of Music” MV in Russia

A media channel in Russia erased the rainbow from SEVENTEEN’s “God of Music” MV to adhere to the nation’s regulation against “LGBT propaganda”

Recently, TNT Music, a Russian media channel, has drawn attention after its broadcast of SEVENTEEN’s “God of Music MV”. In particular, one scene in the MV, where SEVENTEEN members can be seen dancing under a rainbow, was edited into a gloomy sky with no rainbow in sight.

This is believed to be TNT Music’s attempt to adhere to Russia’s regulation against “LGBT propaganda”.

It is known that TNT Music was previously fined 1 million rubles (approx 10,800 USD) in July for “LGBT propaganda” when it aired singer Alma’s MV for the song “Summer Really Hurt Us.”

The channel is also facing another fine of up to 16 million rubles (approx 174,000 USD) on four charges of spreading “LGBT propaganda” among minors, according to Russian state media.

On the other hand, Russia began to ban “propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations” toward minors in 2013.

In 2022, this ban was expanded to public displays of these relationships and lifestyles to everyone, no longer limited to just minors.
