Former AOA member Shin Ji-min resumes her activities in the entertainment industry, “I’m still cautious but I’ll go step by step” 

Shin Ji-min, a former member of girl group AOA, will make a fresh start at a new agency.

On July 14th, ALOMALO Entertainment announced, “We recently signed an exclusive contract with Shin Ji-min”.

Through her new agency, Shin Ji-min shared, “I’m greeting you from my new home. I have been wondering a lot and spending time reflecting on myself. I’m still cautious but I will go step by step. Please look forward to my new appearance in the future.”

Shin Ji-min is an all-round artist who can sing, rap, and produce songs. She performed various stages through Mnet’s programs “Unpretty Rapstar” and “Queendom” and also released self-composed songs, such as “Hallelujah” and “Hey”, as solo projects.

However, Shin Ji-min was embroiled in a bullying scandal due to the revelation of former AOA member Kwon Min-ah in July 2020. She later left the group and suspended her activities in the entertainment industry.

Shin Ji-min ended her exclusive contract with her old agency FNC Entertainment in January after staying silent for more than a year. Since then, she has released a song called “Suddenly” through SNS as a “surprise gift for my dearest”.
