He explained that they wanted someone capable of portraying emotions well within an appropriate age range, leading them to choose Lee Dong-wook.

Lee Dong-wook expressed surprise at the casting decision, stating that he hadn’t heard this story before and doesn’t usually inquire about such details.

Having recently taken on various genres like fantasy and action, Lee Dong-wook expressed his desire to try a more comfortable and less physically demanding project.

The opportunity for ‘Single in Seoul’ arose, marking his return to a romance movie after around 7-8 years since ‘Bubble Gum.’ He mentioned wanting to work with co-star Im Soo-jung for an extended period.

‘Single in Seoul’ portrays the story of influencer Yeong-ho (played by Lee Dong-wook), who enjoys being alone, and Hyun-jin (played by Im Soo-jung), an editor who dislikes being single, as they collaborate on a book about single life. The romance film is set to be released on November 29th.
