Recently, famous YouTuber IShowSpeed, who has a whopping 22.4 million subscribers on his main YouTube, published a video of his reaction to NewJeans’ “Super Shy” MV, drawing attention.
However, right from the start of the video title, netizens have expressed dissatisfaction. In particular, the video was titled “IShowSpeed reacts to NewJeans – Super Shy (GETS BON*R)”, showing a sexualizing attitude from the get-go.
In the video, IShowSpeed immediately realized who the girls were. He then praise the members in a “s*xualizing manner, despite viewers informing the YouTuber that the NewJeans member is only 15 and so is a minor
Additionally, IShowSpeed even made suspicious movements when Hyein appeared, such as biting his lips, smashing his desk, and implicitly showing his *b*ner”.
Finally, as Hyein asked, “I want to go out with you, so where do you wanna go?”, IShowSpeed just turned off the MV, claiming that he found it impossible watching due to Hyein “lying” to him.
As Hyein, alongside NewJeans, are mostly minors, many netizens have criticized IShowSpeed’s video, accusing the famous YouTuber of “s*xualizing NewJeans. Additionally, they are also reporting the content creator to HYNE and ADOR.
