From Sex Toys to BDSM, Netizens Traumatized by “Perverted” Korean Netflix Show?

A new Korean Netflix show, which focuses on sex cultures and all sorts of related topics, is seriously grossing out netizens.

On February 20, the Korean Netflix show “ Risqué Business: The Netherlands and Germany”, which is a follow-up of last year’s “Risqué Business”, was released.

If “Risqué Business” covers the sex cultures of Japan and Taiwan, the new program shows hosts Shin Dong-yup and Sung Si-kyung exploring the sex cultures of the Netherlands and Germany. Hand-on experiences and interviews about such cultures were also revealed.

However, while the initial reaction to this show has largely been amusement and confusion, a new post by Netflix has invoked rather negative reception.

In particular, the post in question includes various slides asking about different topics regarding sex cultures, including things like joining a “nude sports club”, using sex toys, to BDSM preferences.

As a result, netizens are calling the post (and the show) perverted, even leaving comments on how they felt traumatized by such questions and that Netflix is “ruining” Korean culture.

On the other hand, some fans show a different stance, expressing that they find the new show hilarious and even educational.

To be fair, the topic of sex shouldn’t be new to K-content watchers, considering that some K-dramas and Korean movies, such as “Nevertheless” and “Love and Leashes”, have covered it.
