HYBE CEO: “We Will Preserve NewJeans”

The CEO of HYBE, Park Ji-won, has revealed his stance amid the controversies revolving around ADOR and HYBE.

On the morning of April 23, HYBE CEO Park Ji-won sent a lengthy email to HYBE employees, opening up about the related issues named “ADOR Incident.” It is previously reported that HYBE has begun an audit into Min Hee-jin, the CEO of ADOR, and the agency’s management board.

In the email, CEO Park stated, “I couldn’t help but feel regretful about this recent issue,” adding, “This issue clearly reveals an attempted company takeover, and we started the audit to confirm and correct it.”

Park also rebuked Min Hee-jin’s claims about her conflicts with HYBE and the ILLIT – NewJeans copying issue, saying, “Currently, the responsible parties (of ADOR) are not properly responding to the company’s legitimate audit or refusing to respond, and most of what they claim is either untrue or baseless allegations.”

In particular, CEO Park emphasized, “It has been recognized that the issues at hand were pre-planned regardless of ILLIT’s debut timing, and the company will take specific measures after confirming these issues more concretely through this audit.”

CEO Park also urged ADOR employees to not feel anxious and do their best for NewJeans‘ comeback and growth, before emphasizing, “HYBE always prioritizes protecting artists and members as the highest value.”

Additionally, to workers of Belift Lab, he added, “Do not be upset by false information and please do your best for ILLIT’s success.”

The CEO also insisted that HYBE will preserve NewJeans and ILLIT, regardless of the outcome of the dispute between Min Hee-jin and ADOR’s management against HYBE.

Meanwhile, HYBE has set the deadline for responding to the audit questionnaire for ADOR management as 6 p.m. (KST) on April 24. If they do not respond, HYBE plans to take legal action to convene a shareholders’ meeting for ADOR.
