Cha Tae Hyun on “Running Man”, “My best friend Kim Jong Kook has a son in LA who studied at the prestigious university UCLA”
Actor Cha Tae Hyun created rumors about Kim Jong Kook on “Running Man”.
“My Heart Puppy” actors Yoo Yeon Seok and Cha Tae Hyun guested on SBS’s entertainment program “Running Man” broadcast on February 26th and joined “The Butler’s Day” race in which they had to carry out daily tasks set by the landlord.
On the broadcast, Cha Tae Hyun became the landlord. Together with the chief butler Yoo Jae Suk, he interviewed the members to hire butlers for his home. Kim Jong Kook said, “I can be loyal to you like a dog. I can do things”, showing his reliable side. However, Cha Tae Hyun was not satisfied with Kim Jong Kook’s introduction and said to himself, “I wish my butler has gotten married”, drawing laughter. Yoo Jae Suk asked, “I thought you know butler Kim Jong Kook well? Didn’t you say he had someone in LA?”. In response, Cha Tae Hyun said, “I heard his son is studying at a good college in LA… UCLA”, making everyone laugh at the rumors he naturally created.

Cha Tae Hyun gave different numbers of ‘R Coin’ to the members cccording to the interview results. He gave 10 coins to the chief butler Yoo Jae Suk, 5 coins to Yoo Yeon Seok, 4 coins to Song Ji Hyo, Kim Jong Kook, and Yang Se Chan. Ha Ha, Ji Seok Jin, and Jeon So Min received 3, 1, and 0 coins, respectively. The “Butler’s Day” race, which ends after the butlers complete the tasks set by the landlord, then began. In the mansion where the members and guests competed with each other, there was a roulette of truth with ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ answers written on it. The roulette runs when someone sticks a question on it. The landlord can use it any time for free, but the butlers can only use the roulette by giving coins to purchase the question chance.
Cha Tae Hyun wrote the question, “Did Jong Kook’s daughter go to UCLA?”, and spinned the roulette. He said, “If the result comes out as ‘No’, please don’t make any article about this”, showing his determination to end all rumors related to Kim Jong Kook’s child. The result of the roulette was ‘No’. Ha Ha reacted, “It’s not UCLA. UCLA is out”, insisting that the question was written incorrectly.
Cha Tae Hyun then changed the question to “Did Jong Kook’s son go to UCLA?” because he was not satisfied with the result. After spinning the roulette again, the answer ‘Yes’ finally came out. Cha Tae Hyun excitedly said, “Then it was his son. Everyone knows that. His son studied at UCLA”. In response, Kim Jong Kook said, “Why are you making a prediction about me with the roulette?”. Cha Tae Hyun said, “Prediction? I’m doing it because I have to say it precisely”, drawing laughter with his mischievous side.
