Cha Tae Hyun, “Kim Jong Kook is already married (?). Let’s go to the U.S to meet his wife”
Actor Cha Tae Hyun revealed his plan to make an entertainment program to find a “LA wife” for his best friend Kim Jong Kook.
On January 26th, Kim Jong Kook’s official Youtube channel “GYM Jong Kook” uploaded a video titled “Dragon Club Forever… (Feat. Cha Tae Hyun, Jang Hyuk, Hong Kyung Min, Hong Kyung In)”.
The video showed Cha Tae Hyun, Jang Hyuk, Hong Kyung Min, and Hong Kyung In gathering at Kim Jong Kook’s house to celebrate Lunar New Year. 5 people, who are more like ‘neighborhood friends’ than friends in the entertainment industry, showed off their 25-year friendship with friendly talks.’
In particular, Kim Jong Kook and his friends from the Dragon Club (the group of friends who were born in the Year of the Dragon) came up with the idea of doing an entertainment program together. While everyone was giving ideas, such as “let’s talk about something”, “let’s learn something”, etc., Kim Jong Kook said, “I like traveling. We can introduce interesting things in the country we visit”, adding “We can experience various things on behalf of the viewers”, insisting on doing a traveling program.
In response to Kim Jong Kook’s strong argument, Hong Kyung In asked, “Why do you want to travel so badly?”. Kim Jong Kook said, “I just like traveling abroad”.

In the past, Kim Jong Kook was embroiled in rumors of “having an LA wife”. On a broadcast, Cha Tae Hyun said, “There’s a reasonable doubt. Kim Jong Kook goes to the U.S., especially LA, many times. The actor explained that the story he made as a joke spread as a real rumor.
Meanwhile, Kim Jong Kook and his ‘Dragon Club’ friends joined KBS’s program “Dragon’s Club” in 2017. Regarding the reason they discussed doing a program together again, they said, “At that time, many employees at KBS went on strike and our PD was one of them”, adding “Let’s do it for real this time”.
