Episode 245 of tvN’s entertainment program “You Quiz on the Block”, which aired on May 22nd, featured the guest appearance of actor Byun Woo-seok, who recently gained huge love for his role as Ryu Seon-jae in tvN’s drama “Lovely Runner”.
When the MC asked, “Ryu Seon-jae is a character with a pure first love. How about your first love in real life?”, Byun Woo-seok replied, “I think my first love was in my middle school. I had a crush on that friend. We were very close to each other, but I couldn’t confess. I noticed the good timing to confess but couldn’t do it in the end.”
The actor continued, “I felt so pathetic. I thought, ‘While walking on the Cheonggyecheon bridge today, I must confess my heart’, but still couldn’t say a word. I was worried that I might lose my friendship. In the end, I failed to make a confession”, adding that his first love ended like that.
When asked what he would have said if he had confessed, Byun Woo-seok cited Seon-jae’s line “You told me to think only about you, right?”, drawing laughter. The actor then said, “I’m sorry. I tried it once. That just came to my mind. It popped out when you mentioned confession”. He added, “I think I would say, ‘I think I have feelings for you, not as a friend, but as a man and a woman, so do you want to go out with me?’”.
