Jin responds to a fan who asked BTS to leave HYBE due to the NFT controversy

Yesterday, the same day HYBE announced to join NFT – there was a post on BTS‘s Weverse from Korean fans that wrote: “Please, leave the company.’  Not knowing if it was luck or bad luck, Jin read this post and even replied: ‘Heok, why?‘.

This post and Jin’s reply became a hot topic on the Korean online forum as a matter of course when Knets were still criticizing HYBE.  Accordingly, although this fan did not mention the reason why he/she wanted the group to leave the company, everyone understood that it was because of the NFT controversy that broke out at that time.  However, in his response, Jin used a somewhat cute and gentle word (heok, wae-yo) that made many Knets wonder whether the male idol really understood the fan’s intentions and knew about the NFT controversy or not.

Accordingly, some Knets thought that Jimin didn’t seem to understand the fan’s meaning, so he responded like, ‘Why did you ask us to leave the company?‘.  Others said that because of the wording, Jin misunderstood ‘leaving the company’ as ‘leaving work’ and wondered why this fan told him to leave work.

However, many other Knets and international fans think that Jin really didn’t choose this post by accident. Jin is said to be very intelligent, and it is not ruled out that the members already know about HYBE’s NFT controversy. As a result, fans believe Jin is implying that there is no reason for them to leave their management company.

Furthermore, international ARMYs are enraged that some fans are so rude that they upload these things to BTS’ Weverse. They claimed that the NFT business has nothing to do with BTS’s musical activities and that calling members to leave the company while everyone is working hard is even more absurd.

Furthermore, many supporters pointed out that NFTs can be harmful to the environment but many NFT companies have switched to a more “green and clean” encryption model in order to reduce carbon emissions. They claimed that HYBE conducted extensive research before deciding to work with an NFT company among many others.

In addition, the NFT business is also a global trend, and even in the Korean entertainment industry, there are entertainment companies that have been developing in this direction, such as JYP, YG, Abyss, etc.  … Fans hope everyone will calmly consider the matter, especially so as not to affect the artists in the company.

What do you think about the controversy surrounding HYBE’s NFT joining?  Do you think Jin’s response is understanding or not understanding the fan’s post?
