Badass female leads of the small screen in the first half of 2023

These actresses made a striking appearance on the screen with independence, determination, and resoluteness

Moon Dong Eun – The Glory

“The Glory” Moon Dong Eun comes at the top of the list. She is a victim of horrendous highschool physcial and mental violence committed by the rick kids at her school. Everyone turned against her when she needed them the most. In the depth of despair, Dong Eun had thought of taking her own life.

However, it is the burning desire to punish her highschool tormentors that keeps her going. It took her years to craft a masterplan against the tormentors who are cruising through life. When the bullies thought their past has receded into the dark, Moon Dong Eun makes a shocking comeback.

Go Ah In – Agency

Next up is “Agency” Go Ah In portrayed Lee Bo Young. The actress actively works to separate herself from the weak, damsel-in-distress type of characters. “Agency” is no exception to this rule. Abandoned by her own mother at a young age, Go Ah In works days and nights for 20 long years to have a successful career. From the bottom of an advertising agency, she rises to be its Creative Director.

However, that is only the beginning of a more savage battle. The higher-up only wants her to be the strawman; therefore, Go Ahn In strives for her subordinates’ trust while fighting back schemes from the boss.

Lee Bo Young will not disappoint when it comes to a strong, independent, self-made woman navigating and rising above workplace politics.

Lee Ro Um – Delightfully Deceitful

“Delightfully Deceitful” Lee Ro Um is described as a con artist whose beautiful visual hides a cold heart that cannot sympathize due to a personality disorder. She is raised to always choose efficiency over emotions, ignore things of no value, and consider everyone as instrument to achieve a goal.
