Girls’ Generation member Yoona, Taeyeon, Yuri, Sunny, and Hyoyeon renewed contract with SM Entertainment.
According to XSports News on September 08, Yoona, Taeyeon, Yuri, Sunny, and Hyoyeon recently renewed contract with their current agency SM Entertainment and decided to continue working together.
Yoona, Taeyeon, Yuri, Sunny, and Hyoyeon renewed contract with SM Entertainment in 2017 and have been together for more than 10 years. At that time, Sooyoung, Seohyun, and Tiffany did not renewed contract with SM but singed a new one with a new agency.
The five members of Girls’ Generation, who recently reached the point of contract renewal, decided to continue their relationship with SM Entertainment. As they have been actively working under SM Entertainment as actors and singers, it’s expected that there will be more synergy after the contract renewal.
Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation debuted in 2007 with ‘Into The New World’, and this year is the 14th year from their debut. In August, Girls’ Generation drew attention by celebrating their 13th anniversary with the photos of all the members.
Yoona and Yuri are planning to keep working as television actors. Yoona confirmed to appear in JTBC’s new drama ‘Hush’, and Yuri is considering an offer to appear in the new drama ‘Bossam – Stealing Fate’.
In addition, Hyoyeon released a new single ‘DESSERT’ in July, and Taeyeon released a new single ‘Happy’ in May. Sunny has been appearing in entertainment programs such as MBC ‘Where is My Home.’
