According to the first-quarter financial reports released by Big 4 entertainment companies including HYBE Labels, SM Ent, YG Ent, and JYP Ent, here are their revenue and profit recorded during the January-to-March period of this year.
Accordingly, HYBE earned the highest revenue, operating profit, and net profit in Q1 2022, with BTS’s in-person and globally broadcast concerts held in March being the leading contributors. HYBE is followed by SM with the second-highest revenue and net profit, thanks to successful first-quarter comebacks by artists such as Taeyeon, Red Velvet, NCT DREAM,… Meanwhile, YG had the lowest revenue and net profit recorded in the first 3 months of 2022. However, the numbers are expected to rise significantly in quarter 2 if BLACKPINK makes a summer comeback.
