Yoo Jae Suk, “I used to take the KTX at Yongsan Station a lot to go to my wife’s family’s house in Gwangju”
Yoo Jae Suk was confident that he knows the geography of Yongsan Station well.
In episode 164 of MBC’s entertainment program “Hangout with Yoo”, which aired on December 17th, the members were given a chance to re-challenge the “Chaotic team pickup” mission that they failed last time.
On the broadcast, Yoo Jae Suk received a mission to a location in Seoul after looking at only one photo. After reasoning that the wall outside the building in the picture looked like it was from the 1990-2000s, Yoo Jae Suk thought of an old town and took a taxi heading to Yongsan Station. Looking around from the taxi, he seemed to be sure about his guess.
While moving to the building, Yoo Jae Suk said, “Somehow I think it’s the right one”. He added, “I got goosebumps. I have lived in Seoul for a long time, and also went to many places. I used to go back and forth between Seoul and the house of Kyung Eun’s family in Gwangju, so I went to Yongsan Station many times. I really found it just by looking at the wall outside of the building? Without any information? What if I guessed it right? I would be surprised by myself, too”, showing his confidence.
Later when Yoo Jae Suk entered Yongsan Station, ‘Yongsan Station’ was confirmed to be the wrong answer.
Meanwhile, Yoo Jae Suk married announcer Na Kyung Eun, who is 9 years younger than him, in 2008. The couple has a son named Ji Ho and a daughter named Na Eun.
