Cast, stories, and ratings… What has impressed the viewers ahead of Our Blues’ last episode

Drawing attention from the production stage with its splendid cast consisting of top actors, Our Blues’ last episode is now so close.

tvN’s “Our Blues” is an omnibus drama. Explaining why she decided to write an omnibus drama, screenwriter Noh Hee-kyung said, “At some point, I found writing stories that focus on only two main characters became less interesting”, adding, “In fact, we are all the main characters of our lives. None of the cast members should have been treated as a guest and I didn’t want to do so.”

Therefore, many main characters appeared in “Our Blues” and talked about various stories. In the episodes of Han-soo and Eun-hee, Cha Seung-won and Lee Jung-eun portrayed the hardships of the goose father Han-soo (Cha Seung-won) and the joys and sorrows of Eun-hee (Lee Jung-eun), the eldest daughter in her family who sacrificed her whole life to support her parents and brothers. The two touched the viewers with many emotions and impressions with how they comforted and cheered on each other and dealt with their past youth.

Young-joo and Hyun, who are the 1st and 2nd place in school and the president and vice-president of their class, turned the whole neighborhood upside down with their pregnancy news. The appearances of the two when they worried about the pregnancy but eventually decided to give birth to the baby based on their deep love and trust in each other as well as the conflicts with their fathers in the process of persuading them to keep the baby were delicately depicted.

The episodes of Young-ok (Han Ji-min), Jung-joon (Kim Woo-bin) and Young-hee (Jung Eun-hye) also received favorable reviews from the audience. The secret of Young-ok, who was criticized by other haenyeos for lying, was revealed. Young-ok became responsible for her twin sister who has Down Syndrome after her parents passed away.

The story that occurred when Young-hee came to Jeju Island to visit Young-ok was praised for portraying the pain and the difficult situation that disabled people and their families experience delicately and realistically. In particular, it was the sincere acting of Han Ji-min, Kim Woo-bin and Jung Eun-hye that added deeper meaning to the story. The viewers were touched even more when the paintings of caricature artist Jung Eun-hye were also released through the drama broadcast.
