On September 26, Starhaus Entertainment announced, “Lee Ha-eum is officially starting her acting career with the short-form drama ‘Request for Resignation’ (tentative title).”
The drama is set at a company and portrays the conflicts and romances between three individuals, each with their own motives.
Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, Lee Ha-eum has been cast as the lead character, Oh Geum-hee. Geum-hee is a dedicated and hardworking senior employee in the overseas trade team. She might seem diligent, but at times, her workaholic tendencies raise eyebrows. Throughout the drama, Geum-hee shares unique chemistry with several characters, including the president of her company, Kang Tae-ri, while pursuing her dreams and love, which will surely capture viewers’ hearts.
Lee Ha-eum shared her excitement about the role, saying, “I was very nervous about participating in such a significant role for my first project, but I was equally excited. I’m grateful for the support of the director, actors, and staff. Though there were many challenges, everyone on set helped me enjoy the filming process. Playing Geum-hee allowed me to gain valuable experience, and I hope viewers enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed preparing for it.”
Born in 2002, Lee Ha-eum has already drawn attention for her doll-like, lovely visuals, and her ability to showcase different charms depending on the mood. Last year, she signed an exclusive contract with Starhouse Entertainment, marking the beginning of her acting career.
