On March 26, JYP Entertainment announced through an official notice that Chaeyoung felt abnormal pain in her lower back while preparing to leave the country. After determining that immediate medical attention was necessary, the agency decided to delay her departure so she could receive examination and treatment.
As a result, Chaeyoung did not travel with the other members and will remain in Korea for the time being to focus on recovery. The agency stated that her condition will be closely monitored and that she will depart as soon as her health allows.
JYP Entertainment also noted that even if Chaeyoung resumes participation in performances, her stage activities may be partially limited depending on her recovery progress. The company apologized to fans for the sudden update and emphasized that the artist’s health remains the top priority.

Official Statement from JYP Entertainment
Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.
We are writing to provide an update regarding TWICE member Chaeyoung’s departure schedule.
While preparing for her departure this morning, Chaeyoung suddenly experienced discomfort in her lower back area. Upon deciding that immediate medical attention was necessary, her departure schedule has inevitably been postponed. She is scheduled to receive a medical examination and treatment.
Consequently, Chaeyoung will not be departing with the other members today. She will remain in Korea to focus on hospital treatment and recovery. After closely monitoring the results of her examination and her recovery progress, we plan for her to depart as soon as possible.
Should there be any changes to the upcoming performance schedule, we will notify fans as quickly as possible through our official communication channels. Please be advised that even if Chaeyoung participates in the performance, her choreography/performance may be partially limited.
We sincerely apologize to ONCE, who have been waiting for the stage, for causing concern with this sudden news. Our company prioritizes the artist’s health above all else, and we will do our absolute best to ensure her sufficient treatment, rest, and a speedy recovery.
Thank you.

This update comes just one day after Dahyun was confirmed to suspend activities due to an ankle fracture, further intensifying concerns among fans about the members’ health.
TWICE is currently in the midst of their global tour “This Is For,” which spans 43 regions worldwide. With multiple members facing health-related challenges, attention is now focused on how the group will continue its schedule while ensuring proper recovery for its members.
