TWICE’s Jeongyeon is the First K-pop Artist to Participate in Apple Music’s Carol Cover Playlist

TWICE’s Jeongyeon has released a song in collaboration with Apple Music ahead of the Christmas season

TWICE Jeongyeon’s version of “O Christmas Tree” was exclusively released on Apple Music at 1:00 PM KST on November 1st.

Since 2020, Apple Music has been collaborating with famous singers annually, curating a playlist called “Carols Covered” featuring their reinterpretations of carols. Last year, Ellie Goulding and Muni Long participated. This year, Jeongyeon became the first Korean artist to be featured in the playlist, emphasizing her global popularity.

For “Carols Covered 2023,” Jeongyeon chose the beloved carol “O Christmas Tree.” She expressed through Apple Music, “When I listen to ‘O Christmas Tree,’ it reminds me of warm and cozy memories with family and friends. This song is a must-have on my holiday playlist. I hope it becomes a precious gift for those who have cherished memories related to this song.”

Jeongyeon’s soothing vocals are set to warm the hearts of listeners during the year-end season with her first solo holiday song, “O Christmas Tree,” available on Apple Music. The entire “Carols Covered 2023” playlist, including “O Christmas Tree,” was released at midnight KST on November 2nd.

TWICE is currently in the midst of their fifth world tour, “TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR ‘READY TO BE,'” covering 44 shows in 25 regions worldwide. Starting in April of this year at Seoul’s KSPO DOME, they performed sold-out shows at iconic venues in the United States, including the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and MetLife Stadium in New York, drawing a total of 250,000 fans and successfully completing their North American tour. 

On November 4th, TWICE will hold their concert at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, becoming the first K-pop group to do so.
