“Pop Star – Chaeyoung Remix”, a collaboration between TWICE’s Chaeyoung and American pop duo Coco & Clair Clair, was released
The remix version of Coco & Clair Clair’s “Pop Star”, in which Chaeyoung participated, was released on various music sites at 1 PM on October 25th.
Coco & Clair Clair previously announced their collaboration with Chaeyoung through their official channels on September 18th (hereafter local time), attracting the attention of domestic and foreign listeners.
“Pop Star” is the final track on Coco & Clair Clair’s album “SEXY (Deluxe Edition)” set to be officially released on November 10th. This remix captures Pop Star’s free-spirited essence in a trendy manner, offering the fantastic musical synergy created by Chaeyoung and Coco & Clair Clair.
Chaeyoung, known for her contributions to many songs including “Basics” from TWICE’s 11th mini-album “BETWEEN 1&2”, “HANDLE IT” from TWICE’s 2nd full album “Eyes wide open” and “SWEET SUMMER DAY” from TWICE’s 9th mini-album “MORE & MORE”, has consistently showcased her unique sensibility and charm. Her collaboration with a global musician has further expanded her musical portfolio, demonstrating her accumulated musical competence.
Recently, TWICE has been on an upward trajectory, maintaining their status as a “global top-tier girl group” while actively engaging in international activities. In April 2023, they kicked off their 5th world tour “TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR ‘READY TO BE'” at the KSPO DOME in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The tour has since unfolded on a grand scale with 44 concerts in 25 cities worldwide.
As part of this tour, they became the first female group in the world to simultaneously enter and sell out the SoFi Stadium (Los Angeles) and the MetLife Stadium (New York) in June and July, reinforcing their potent global influence.
They are continuing their streak with concerts in Melbourne, Australia on November 4th, Nagoya, Japan on December 16th-17th, Jakarta, Indonesia on December 23rd, Fukuoka, Japan on December 27th-28th, Mexico City, Mexico on February 2nd-3rd, 2024 and São Paulo, Brazil on February 6th-7th, 2024.
On October 21st, TWICE hosted two sessions of the fan meeting “2023 TWICE FANMEETING ONCE AGAIN” at the Olympic Hall, Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, celebrating their 8th debut anniversary with fans from both Korea and around the world.
