TWICE Becomes the 3rd K-pop Girl Group to Take No. 1 Spot on Billboard 200

TWICE is the eighth K-pop group and the third girl group to achieve this record.

TWICE made a comeback on February 23 with their title track ‘One Spark.’ Their 12th mini-album ‘With YOU-th’ claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard main album chart, Billboard 200.

In its chart preview article, Billboard wrote, “With YOU-th’ is mostly in Korean” and introduced it as “the 24th non-English album to top this chart, and the first this year.”

Since their debut in October 2015, TWICE has gained significant popularity in Korea and Japan with hits like ‘Cheer Up’ and ‘TT.’

In 2022, all members renewed their contract with JYP Entertainment, and they achieved their first Billboard No. 1 this year, marking their 10th anniversary.

This is their eighth achievement for K-pop groups and the third for girl groups, following BLACKPINK and NewJeans.

TWICE’s latest album also recorded first-week sales of 1,063,615 copies. LE SSERAFIM, who made a comeback around the same time, also showed progress with their third mini-album ‘Easy,’ ranking 8th on Billboard 200.
