“Twenty-five, Twenty-one” criticized for including the “911 Terror” event in a loving scene between the main couple

One scene of “Twenty-five, twenty-one” is becoming controversial.

The latest episode of tvN’s Saturday drama “Twenty-five, Twenty-one,” which aired on April 2nd, depicts a long-distance relationship between Baek Yi-jin (Nam Joo-hyuk) and Na Hee-do (Kim Tae-ri) because Baek Yi-jin left for New York as a correspondent.

Na Hee-do turned on the TV in time for the news, and was happy when Baek Yi-jin appeared to report. Baek was at the spot of the September 11 terrorist attacks.

On the other day, Na Hee-do missed Baek Lee-jin‘s report.

On some days, she was disappointed when she could only hear Baek Yi-jin‘s voice during the “September 11th terrorist” report.

Baek Yi-jin called Na Hee-do and explained, “I called because I think you would be disappointed because my face wasn’t shown today.” Na Hee-do was surprised, saying, “How did you know?” Baek Yi-jin delighted Na Hee-do by answering, “I want to look good for you so I take a stand shot.”

The scene became a serious controversy as it spread to various SNS and online communities after the broadcast. This is because the tragedy of “911 Terror” was used in Baek Yi-jin and Na Hee-do‘s romance narrative.

Netizens responded that they could not understand, such as “I don’t think this is right,” “How did no one stop this?” “I’m really disappointed,” “What on earth are they thinking?” “They can’t just do that,” and “I’m really embarrassed.”
