These Korean dramas attract the most commercials this year. 

Thanks to the success of the following dramas, brands compete fiercely for a slot of advertising their products during the broadcast. K-dramas usually have a fixed advertising frame at the beginning, middle and end. According to the habit of many viewers, if an ad pops up while they are watching a show, they will switch the channel, so if a drama is engrossing enough to keep the audience through the ad, the producers will earn a lot of money. Top 10: The Veil (Nam Goong Min)

Nam Goong Min‘s spectacular small screen comeback and image transformation in The Veil attracted much attention even before the drama’s first broadcast. After its premiere, The Veil consistently drew positive reviews and good ratings. The viewership rating surged to over 10% at times and its advertising rate was an average of 2,067%.

Top 9: Lovers Of The Red Sky (Kim Yoo Jung, Ahn Hyo Seop)

Lovers Of The Red Sky was highly appreciated for its engaging storyline and talented cast. Despite coming under controversy over CGI effects in the first episodes, the leading couple Kim Yoo Jung and Ahn Hyo Seop make the drama enjoyable thanks to their good chemistry and acting. The drama earned a good viewership rating and recorded an average advertising rate of 2.240%.

Top 8: One The Woman (Honey Lee, Lee Sang Yoon)

SBS’s One The Woman achieved success beyond expectations with high ratings and got first place in its time slot. The storyline is also thrilling and funny, so the highest viewership rating was almost 18%, leading to an impressive average advertisement rate of 2,971%.

KBS’s family dramas often remain unmatched when it comes to viewership. The rating has surpassed 30%, an incredible number. Despite such a high viewership rating, Young Lady And Gentleman only earned an average advertising rate of 3,081%.

With the advantage of broadcasting from the prime time slot from 8 pm to 9 pm every Saturday and Sunday, “Homemade Love Story” has attracted more attention among the family drama series of KBS.  Its rating right from episode 1 reached approximately 20%, peaked at 33.7%, the advertising rating of this drama also reached 4,167%.

No 2 of this year’s advertising chart is the first part of Penthouse. Revolving around the lives of people in the upper-class world, this film quickly became a social media phenomenon, and was well-received by the public.  As a result, the ad rating also peaked at 5.561%.

Although there are many controversies surrounding the content, Penthouse is exactly the most successful SBS drama in 2021. All 3 parts are extremely popular and attract advertising. Part 2 of the series has surpassed all other competitors, becoming a drama that not only achieved high ratings but also extremely impressive advertising ratings. The number recorded for this part is 5.598%, which is extremely high.
