This K-drama features a large number of top actors, but controversy over adultery broke out even before it started

The new drama of famous scriptwriter Noh Hee-kyung has been embroiled in a serious controversy.

tvN drama “Our Blues” will premiere on April 9th starring famous top actors such as Lee Byung-hun, Lee Jung-eun, Han Ji-min, and Kim Hye-ja.

However, many are giving their attention to this drama even before it is released as it is arguably accused of glorifying adultery.

Looking at the character relationship map of “Our Blues,” Choi Han-soo was introduced as a man who hates “the thought of loving his wife and his kid. He sent his wife and daughter abroad to study golf and became a goose father.” It can be seen that Choi Han-soo is a married man.

On the character profile of Jung Eun-hee, it said she was “Still single” and “Han-soo appeared in Jeju one day, saying he would be staying for quite awhile because he was appointed there, and he was preparing for a divorce. Maybe love is possible.” From this alone, viewers can fully predict that these two characters may develop into lovers.

Online community theqoo and others are criticizing these characters, saying “Writer Noh Hee-kyung is trying to glorify adultery again” and “Stop glorifying adultery.”

Noh Hee-kyung‘s previous works, “Lie,” “Sad Temptation,” and “Foolish Love,” also featured affair stories. In “Goodbye Solo,” actress Kim Min-hee, who is in a real affair with the movie director Hong Sang-soo, starred in the main cast. Of course, Kim Min-hee and Hong’s relationship was not an appropriate one at the time of her appearance in that drama.
