His father has been a constant companion throughout Son Heung-min’s football career. Son Heung-min shared: “My dad advised me to do that (not start a family before retiring), and I agreed. When you get married, your number one priority has to be your family, your wife and your children. I want to make sure that, while I’m still at my peak in football, football is the number one priority. Of course, you can’t know when you can play at the highest level until. When you retire or when you’re 33 or 34, you still have a lot of time for your family.”
