Im Soo Hyang transformed into cheerful doctor Han Gye Jeol and Seol Hee, Gye Jeol’s past life. The performance of Im Soo Hyang, who played two roles in her past and present lives, added richness to the story and increased viewers’ immersion, leading to favorable reviews.

Through her agency FN Entertainment, the actress shared about the end of the drama and answered questions about her.

Regarding her feelings after finishing another drama, Im Soo Hyang said, “I’m very sad to part ways with people whom I’ve spent a long filming period with. ‘Kokdu: Season of Deity’ brought many healing moments so I’m both relieved and worried about letting it go. I also want to express my gratitude to viewers who loved the drama and my character.”

When asked about the difficulties she faced when filming the drama during the winter, the actress shared, “Since the story tells about a story that happens within 99 days, we had to limit the filming period to one season. Even in winter, we had to wear thin clothes and fought with the cold weather. The scenes where we were soaked in water were especially cold”.

As for her synchronization with Han Gye Jeol of “Kokdu: Season of Deity”, Im Soo Hyang said, “I think it was about 5~60%”, adding “My character has a bright and high-tension personality, but I’m more realistic and calm”.

She then went on to tell some special behind stories and interesting events during the filming, such as the awkward scene where they had to jump to teleport while having a serious conversation. Regarding the emotional scenes, Im Soo Hyang said, “I naturally empathized with the emotions of my character and couldn’t stop crying. I remember crying for 8 hours straight until my eyes swelled up when filming the confession scene in the last episode”. The actress also mentioned her chemistry with other actors on the set, saying “We were all friends of the same age, so our chemistry was great.”

Revealing that she would like to challenge a character that is completely different from her, such as a villain, Im Soo Hyang also talked about her own standards when selecting scripts. She said, “I like worlds that have a message to convey. Even among works about various topics and themes, I try to find a message within them”.

Looking back on her acting career of 15 years, Im Soo Hyang expressed her philosophy, “There’s always one answer. I want to be an actor who acts well. That’s my top priority. I want to keep improving and becoming a better actor than I am now”. She added, “I’m working on three more projects without rest with the hope that I can greet everyone with better stories and a healthier appearance this year as well.”

Lastly, she delivered warm words to fans of “Kokdu: Season of Deity”, saying “I really appreciate your support and encouragement. Thanks to your love, I was able to finish this drama with fulfillment and happiness until the end. Through this work, I once again learned about the preciousness of communication and understanding. Thank you so much.”
