“Street Woman Fighter 2” MC Kang Daniel apologizes for previous season’s controversy “I reflected on myself”

“Street Woman Fighter 2” MC Kang Daniel apologized for controversy over the slip of the tongue he made in the previous season.

On the morning of August 17th, the press conference of Mnet’s entertainment program “Street Woman Fighter 2” was held at DMC Tower in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

Following the previous season, Kang Daniel joins “Street Woman Fighter 2” as an MC again. PD Kim Ji Eun said “It’s no exaggeration to say that ‘Street Woman Fighter’, ‘Street Dance Girls Fighter’ and ‘Street Man Fighter’ are our signatures” and showed deep trust in Kang Daniel.

PD Kim added, “Above all, we considered the high level of understanding of the dancer scene. (Kang Daniel) really loves dancing and enjoys it throughout the filming. There was no reason not to invite him again.

Kang Daniel said, “Thank you so much for inviting me again this time. I think this season is like a documentary about survivors. It also contains battle-like fierce competitions.”

As PD Kim said, Kang Daniel received favorable reviews for his love and enjoyment towards dancing, but there was also controversy over his slip of the tongue. He was criticized for playfully misrepresenting advertisers and describing female dancers as “scary” and “sucked of energy” while communicating with fans.

In this regard, Kang Daniel confessed, “I had time to look back and reflect on myself. Even when I came back, I had doubts, ‘Do I really deserve it?’ I’m really grateful that the production team saw me as a member and gave me a good opportunity.”

He continued, “I think the only thing I can do is to show the public a good image again through this program. I did my best since I didn’t want to cause any damage. I’d appreciate it if you could show me your support.”

He added, “I always have a sense of weight (as an MC). Street Woman Fighter 2′ has many great performances and tension as well. I’ll silently act as a loudspeaker and deliver it well.
