Goo Hye Sun spoke about her academic achievements, study habits, and dedication to her studies on “Radio Star.”
In the episode of MBC’s “Radio Star” aired on March 8, Sungkyunkwan University student Goo Hye Sun talked about her college life as a top-scoring student.
Goo Hye Sun, who is majoring in Film and Video, introduced herself as an 11th year student who took an eight-year break before returning to school and preparing for graduate school after her upcoming graduation this year.
Goo Hye Sun, who turns 40 this year, revealed that her classmates remember her as “Geum Jan Di” from the popular 2009 drama “Boys Over Flowers,” and that some of her classmates were even in elementary school and kindergarten during the drama’s airing. “In some cases, the professor is younger than me,” she confessed.
Goo Hye Sun added that she often arrives early to class and turns on the lights and the professor’s computer, because she wants to show sincerity.
Goo Hye Sun went on to say, “Students these days do not ask questions. But I think we should ask things we don’t know.” She revealed that she frequently sits at the front of the classroom and asks many questions during lectures.
Goo Hye Sun said, “My college friends (because I asked a lot of questions) said, ‘I didn’t know you were such a show-off’,” making everyone laugh.
During the show, it was mentioned that Goo Hye Sun had publicly posted her academic record on the university’s online community, where she revealed that she had consistently earned high grades, with some semesters earning a perfect score of 4.5 out of 4.5.
Goo Hye Sun even declined a full scholarship at the beginning of her studies, choosing instead to let a friend receive the scholarship.
When asked, “Did you upload your report card yourself to show off?” Goo Hye Sun responded, “Of course, there is such a sense of accomplishment.”
