Ahn Jae-hyun’s return to the drama is 3 years after ‘Love with Flaws’ in 2019. In the meantime, his face has been reflected in Na Young-seok’s web entertainment such as ‘New Journey to the West’, special ‘Spring Camp’, and ‘Exercise Genius Ahn Jae-hyun’, but this is the first time he resumes his acting activities.

In August 2019, Ahn Jae-hyun and Goo Hye-sun announced their intention to divorce. Then, the conflict between the two was revealed. Afterwards, ‘Love with Flaws’ starring Ahn Jae-hyun, which aired in November, suffered a struggle. In addition to Ahn Jae Hyun’s acting that lacked deep emotions, his conflict with ex-wife Goo Hye Sun also prevented viewers from immersing themselves in the romance of the drama.

Ahn Jae Hyun and Goo Hye Sun’s divorce mediation reached an agreement in July 2020, and the two were legally divorced. Looking back on the two’s lovely newlyweds moments revealed through tvN’s entertainment program “The Lovebirds”, many netizens expressed great regrets.

Overcoming the pain of divorce and returning to acting in earnest, Ahn Jae Hyun will appear in his new drama as an unmarried man. Gong Tae Kyung to be played by Ahn Jae Hyun is an obstetrician and gynecologist specializing in infertility clinics with excellent skills and a handsome look. However, he wants to stay single. Gong Tae Kyung then meets Oh Yeon Doo (Baek Jin Hee) and encounters an incident that changes his life.

Earlier, Kwak Si Yang was cast to play the role of Gong Tae Kyung but he dropped out due to schedule problems. After searching for a suitable actor, the production team decided to choose Ahn Jae Hyun as the male lead.

The viewer ratings of “Three Bold Siblings” went back and forth between 18% and 24% but peaked at 26.7% in the recently aired episode 39. However, this performance is quite disappointing considering the fact that KBS weekend dramas mostly exceed 30% because they are broadcasted on the days and times that allow a lot of viewers to watch. As “Three Bold Siblings” ended without surpassing 30%, attention is focused on whether Ahn Jae Hyun will be able to make a successful comeback with “The Real One Has Appeared!” and revive the sluggish status of KBS weekend dramas.
