Ahn Jaehyun is selected as the male lead for KBS’s weekend drama “The Real One Appeared!” following Kwak Si-yang’s departure 

Actor Ahn Jae-hyun is set to appear as the male lead in the weekend drama “The Real One Appeared!” 

On December 22nd, Star News reported that Ahn Jae-hyun was cast as the male lead in KBS2TV’s new weekend drama “The Real One Appeared!” Ahn Jae-hyun will take on the role of Gong Tae-kyung, an obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) infertility doctor. Kwak Si-yang was initially cast for this role, but recently withdrew due to scheduling issues.

Ahn Jae-hyun returned to the small screen with “The real one appeared!” 3 years after appearing in the drama “Love with Flaws” that aired in 2019. Moreover, he will be starring in a KBS drama for the first time in 8 years after appearing in 2015 drama “Blood” and also the first KBS weekend drama. After adjusting the filming schedule, he planned to join the filming in earnest. Fans are looking forward to seeing what image the actor will bring to this role after several years off the screen. 

“The Real One Appeared” is a drama about the fake contract romance between a single mother and a non-married man surrounding the baby called “The Real” and the strenuous tasks of pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare, through which the family grows. Baek Jin-hee was cast as the female lead. It is scheduled to premiere in 2023, following “Three Bold Siblings.”
